Sometimes I read a book that really changes the way I think or see the world. Has this novel changed you—broadened your perspective?
Have you learned something new or been exposed to different ideas about
people or a certain part of the world?
I read the book Fever 1793. It taught me that not everyone has a great life. Maddy had to deal with her grandpa passing away and almost loosing her mother. She also had to move away from home for awhile. I haven't dealt with something like that before. I have never really thought about how the hardships that people go through and now I realize that people go through a lot and sometimes that person can be really young like 9 years old. Maddy was 14 or so but that is still a young age to go through the situations that she went through. I felt really bad for Maddy but she was very strong and brave throughout the story, dealing with all of these conflicts coming at her. She was showing a side of her during the story that I would have never thought about before, and I am glad that she has shown that part of her in the book, Fever 1793.

I have learned a lot more about how Film and Video work, their history, the kinds of Film and Video, etc. I can now understand it more than I would have before because of this book. At first, I thought these kind of things didn't make sense on how they work. Now I know I was wrong. As an example, I now know that you make a film, by exposing multiple unexposed film frames. Then you have to get the film strips developed. After that, you have to project the film at the same frame rate as you recorded it. It's not that hard after you think about it. I just thought it was a complicated process, but as I said, this book helped.
This book has changed how I feel about things in my life because i think things are bad but there not even close. In the her mom fights something like cancer and they can't afford to take care of it all that much so they have to sell quit a bit of land and Ida B isn't happy at all. She was home schooled but her dad has to take her to public school Because he don't have time for her. I think this would suck her life started off so great now its going down the drain. so this changed the way i look at a lot of things depending one the level of sympathy
Book:Arena 1 Author: Morgan Rice This book has really made me think about how lucky I really am. In the book whoever survived a war is hunted down and put in a arena where now one not even the last person in it lives. They struggle to stay safe warm and healthy. Every day is a Battle. I have food on the table every night so I'm full. I have a nice warm house. I am not being hunted down to kill. If I get sick or hurt my mom could take me to a hospital.
book: the fall of five yes my book has changed me it has made me think that there really could be other living creatures out in space because this book is about a alien race that go to earth to try to get away from this other alien race that is hunting them down and they are the last of there kind. this has made me think more that there really could be some one out there hunting us down wanting to kill us.
